Make sure you employ competent, qualified tradesmen. Unfortunately the double glazing industry has received some bad press, with "cowboy" builders and installers causing damage to property and using some very unsafe practices. But the industry is working hard to make these stories ones of the past. To avoid these pitfalls, ensure you employ installers who are part of an easily recognised national registration body. So before I married a window fitter, I like most people didn't think much about the installation process, and assumed all window installation methods would be much the same, regardless of which company/installer you choose. We'll endeavour to add some more pictures tomorrow, as we work our way around the house. ​ Picture shows new window installed, but shows where the secondary glazing and sound tiles still in place, depicting the bulk savings which the homeowners will now be able to enjoy. The homeowners have chosen triple glazing, which will give them a significant reduction in the noise from the busy road. It also means they no longer need to have acoustic tiles and secondary glazing on top of their original double glazing shown
